Our Story
I have to credit my mother for my love of travel. Because she was in academia, I spent much of my childhood tagging along as she studied and attended conferences all over the world—Thailand, Czech Republic, Germany, Egypt, Korea, you name it. Even as a young child, I wanted to experience new places inside and out: eating what the locals eat, picking up bits of new languages, making friends in corners of the world far from home. Somehow, it made the world feel smaller, warmer, and more approachable.
As an adult, I was lucky enough to find my husband who shares that same passion for traveling (and honestly, enjoys the finer details even more than I do). Together, we’ve found ourselves finding ‘home’ in places as far as New Zealand and South Africa—because it’s not always about where you are, but how you experience it.
Now that we’ve welcomed baby Huddy into our lives, travel looks a little different…but in the best way. It’s also made one thing very clear: where you stay matters. The right property can make everything feel easy and enjoyable; the wrong one can make even the most beautiful destination feel exhausting.
That realization is what led me here. I want to help families continue to travel well—comfortably, thoughtfully, and without losing the joy of it. Because having kids shouldn’t mean giving up on travel you love. It just means doing it smarter and better.
